Easter Weekend

Easter this year felt different than it has in past years.
The phrase "Holy Week" kept running through my head, as I prepared for Easter.

Reading through the life of Jesus Christ (using the topical guide as a reference) has made all the difference.
Saturday night we ate under candle light,
symbolizing the three days of darkness in the Americas after Christ died.

Sunday morning we ate Nuns puffs (they are hallow)
And talked about how the tomb was empty
 because Christ had risen.
He has RISEN!

Little

Since moving Finnley to the toddler bed, nap time is hit or miss.
Today we played all day with our friends at the park.
I had high hopes for a good hour to myself.

This is how it went;
Paciently wait for Finnley to climb in bed
tenderly tuck her under the blankets
kiss the forehead,
softly whisper the reminder to close her eyes, then
leave the room.
Listen at the door and when I hear her hop out of bed
REPEAT

Two hours past nap time and she is snoring
in my arms on the couch.
When was the last time I held Finnley while she slept?
I felt a overwhelming sense of love for her.
Such a little body,
 determined and fun spirit.

Weekends

Weekends at the Palmer home means laundry, bike rides, movies, family and pizza.
Today was extra special, with Finnleys dance competition and the general relief society meeting.
Finnley loves dancing!
I hope to always support her.
Help her find things she loves doing.
Life is so FUN
"Finn Fun" as Spencer would say.

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
“In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Half a year!

Happy half a year little Aven!
We celebrated with a trip to the store for some baby food.
(First time going by myself with two kids)
Finnley was such a good helper,
she loved putting the items in the cart.
At home Aven sat in the high chair for the first time,

and tried a few bites of baby oatmeal.

She was not too sure about it,
 but guess who loved it??
 Finnley got her own bowl
after sneaking bites.

Same Dress

The other day I pulled out the Finnleys six month clothes,
It brought back so many memories of her.
This green dress was one of my favorites!
I remember taking this picture
I took so many pictures,
 90% of them where blurry
she was always moving!
She is full of energy and life.

I put Aven in the same dress
her picture was easy to take.
She is more sensitive and calm.
Already they are so different.

When you feel insecure or lost

My toddler has started noticing pictures and other decorations in our home.
The other day she saw the Christus.
I watched as she moved a chair up to the perfect spot,
and pulled him close.
Inspecting every detail.
His hands,
hair
feet
and nose.

When you feel insecure, and need reassurance.
Lost, and need direction.

Remember this:

Jesus has a nose
YOU have a nose

Jesus is perfect
and through him,
you can be perfect too.

He has a plan for you,
and it is perfect.

I chose you four years ago
I choose you today
and everyday
for the rest of our lives.
